Train for a Marathon

Your acting career is just that. It’s a career, not a

temp job. So start thinking of your career in the long term.

It’s not a sprint. It’s a marathon.

If you didn’t book that role you thought was in the bag, then ask yourself:

–What can I learn from not booking that role?

– What could I have done differently in the audition room?

– How can I apply this audition experience to my next audition scenario?

Ironically, it’s those audition opportunities we don’t book that teach us the most.

We don’t learn much from our successes. We’re too busy celebrating those. In between our celebrations, however, let’s train ourselves to learn something we can apply for the next one.

There’s always another opportunity around the corner when you think of your acting career in the long term.
